FAQs
What Do I Need?
Connecting with us is as easy as a video call with your family. All you need is a laptop or mobile device and an internet connection.
Where are your services available?
Our virtual approach allows us to offer physiotherapy services to people across Nova Scotia.
What conditions do you treat?
We treat a variety of conditions including, but not limited to back and neck pain, muscle and joint pain, pelvic pain, arthritis, and fibromyalgia. We also help people develop exercise programs, become more active, and get back to activities they used to enjoy. Some people also come to us looking for advice or a different opinion. Whether you are looking for a one-off session or require ongoing treatment, we personalize our services to meet your needs.
Do you treat chronic pain?
Absolutely! In fact, treating chronic pain is our primary focus. Our physiotherapists understand that dealing with pain every day can be exhausting and can impact every aspect of your life. Once pain becomes chronic, the path to recovery is often more difficult to imagine. Our physiotherapists know that treating chronic pain requires a different and personalized approach. We help discover what drives your pain and we tailor treatment specifically for you.
Who can benefit from virtual physiotherapy?
Research has shown that online physiotherapy is as effective, if not more effective, than in-person care for the treatment of chronic pain. Virtual care is an ideal option for many people as it allows you to work on your recovery in your own surroundings. Being ant home means you can stay comfortable, conserve energy, and avoid the strain that travel can sometimes cause.
What can I expect from a first appointment?
Our first priority is getting to know you. We want to understand your concerns and goals, and hear about your unique story. We complete a detailed assessment which includes looking at your body movements and discussing what’s been affecting you. We talk about your goals, and together, we decide how to move forward.
How much do the appointments cost?
Initial physiotherapy assessments are $110 and typically last about one hour. Follow-up appointments are $80 and last 30-45 minutes. Most private health insurance policies cover virtual physiotherapy services. We bill directly to most insurance providers.
How is my personal health information kept private?
All appointments and communication are conducted virtually using a secure platform that is compliant with Canada and Nova Scotia privacy laws.
